Therapeutic Afterschool Program (TAP)
Therapeutic Afterschool Program (TAP)
Our Therapeutic Afterschool Program (TAP) is designed with busy families in mind! We are here to ensure that the student's needs are met. Right after school kids need some downtime, help with their homework, and a healthy snack. The program also provides structured and unstructured times to allow for outdoor play, quiet time and creative activities. Arts and crafts, sports/games, cooking, music, toys/board games and a once weekly movie mean that the time afterschool is productive and fun. Parents may choose drop-in or sign up for 2 – 5 days per week.
The program is run by our highly trained teaching staff with experience and expertise with our students' needs. TAP begins immediately following dismissal (1:30 on Wednesday and 2:30 or 3:00 on all other days) and concludes at 5:00pm. TAP runs 1:30 – 5:00pm during Teacher Conference weeks. It is closed on all school holidays and is not open during school vacations.
Priority is given to current students though our afterschool program is open to K – 8th grade students who are not enrolled at Arbor Bay School. The intake process includes an interview with the Director and a 30-day trial placement for non-Arbor Bay students.
